Granny Root is a unique character, full of contrasts. She is timeless, though she looks like she’s getting on in years. She sometimes uses a cane, yet she can travel back and forth easily through distant past lives. Granny Root lives in the woods under the roots of an old oak tree, yet she has also lived among the stars. Granny claims to have once been a crow, a mouse, a turtle, and a tree. She has conversations wit stones to find out just what you need to know, and she can sing spiders to sleep. I have even seen her call the wind and redirect the rain. Though she says that mostly, we need to let Mother Earth do what She thinks is best with the weather. Most of all, Granny Root loves to tell stories. She can tell them for hours and hours.
